Quick Veggie pasta for kids



  • Whole wheat pasta Shells
  • Basil pesto 
  •  Fire roasted Tomato garlic sauce
  • Frozen vegetables/Ground beef
Boil the pasta to taste, I boil it extra long for the kids, so they are softer. Strain using a colander and set aside.
Use a wide pan and add the basil pesto sauce. I use the Kirkland brand from Costco, this pesto oozes oil, so I don't add any extra oil for saute. Saute the frozen vegetables/ ground beef in the pesto for 5 mins or until the meat is done. Make sure the stove is on slow flame , so you don't burn the pesto. Add the pasta and  the tomato sauce. Mix well and serve. You can also garnish with some cheddar/Parmesan cheese.
